Larri Oral Spray 30ml
Larri Oral Spray helps relieve gastric acid reflux symptoms experienced in the throat and oesophagus (food channel). It works by lubricating and lining these tissues to prevent discomfort caused by stomach acid and other contents when they travel up during reflux.

To help understand more about the condition, it is worth noting that there are two types of reflux:
1. LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux, commonly known as silent reflux). This mostly presents as a gaseous refluxate.
2. GERD (gastroesophageal reflux). This presents as a mixed gaseous / liquid refluxate.
Symptoms of LPR (silent reflux) differ to symptoms of GERD.
Symptoms of LPR (silent reflux) include:
- Sensation of a lump in throat
- Constant throat clearing
- Thick mucus at back of throat
- Voice changes/hoarseness
- Cough

1. To relieve throat and voice symptoms of LPR, try a protective throat spray e.g. Larri Oral Spray.
2. If mixed LPR/GERD symptoms are present, your Health Professional may also recommend:
- Proton pump inhibitor tablets to reduce acid production in the stomach.
- Alginate lozenges or liquids to protect the lining of the esophagus from refluxed acid.
Larri Oral Spray provides 3-way action i.e. protective, lubricating and soothing properties with 3 main ingredients.
These are measures you can take to help reduce the severity and frequency of symptoms:
- Weight reduction and regular exercise
- Increase fibre (vegetables and fruit) in the diet
- Avoid spicy foods, alcohol and large meals at least 3 hours before lying down
- Reduce coffee, tea and chocolate
- Elevate the head of the bed
- Avoid strenuous activities like heavy lifting
DIRECTION
Lift the spray arm to the horizontal position and while aiming it away from the face depress the pump several times until a fine spray appears.
Insert the spray arm into the mouth aiming the tip towards the back of the throat. Depress the pump to apply the dose.
After the dose has been delivered wipe the spray arm with a clean tissue andreturn it to the originalposition at the side of thecontainer and store it in the carton with the leaflet.
INGREDIENT
Magnesium alginate, Hyaluronic acid sodium salt, Fluid extract of Camellia sinensis (Green tea), Disodium EDTA, Potassium citrate, Potassium sorbate (preservative), Sodium benzoate (preservative), fructose, citric acid, purified water and mint flavouring.
Magnesium Alginate
Creates a barrier to protect the tissues of the laryngopharynx and oropharynx and minimises contact time of the refluxate over this area.
Helps trap pepsin to prevent it from entering tissues.
Sodium Hyaluronate
Adds to the barrier effect to protect the tissues of the laryngopharynx and oropharynx.
Helps lubricate thick mucus in the throat, protecting the tissues so that they heal naturally.
Camellia Sinensis (Green tea extract)
Helps relieve symptoms and soothe inflamed tissues of the throat.
Current products like alginates, antacids and acid reducers can be helpful for addressing heartburn and indigestion, however patients with co-existing LPR (silent reflux) may need some extra relief.
