What else can I do to prevent ingrown hairs?

Some people are just more prone to ingrown hairs, but there are a few things you can do to help prevent them. The first thing we recommend is exfoliating, either with a washcloth or exfoliating scrub. This will help remove dead skin cell from the surface of the skin and allow the ingrown hairs to emerge.

If shaving is your hair-removal method of choice, always use a sharp razor to cleanly cut the hair and shave in the direction that the hairs grow. Wet your skin prior to shaving with warm water to open up your pores, and use a lubricating shaving cream to protect your skin. Many of our customers like to use our Milk Wash for this purpose. Rinse off with cool water to help reduce redness and irritation. Apply the Post Hair Removal Cream to areas where hair has been removed. Don’t let the pink label fool you; it works for men and women, and can be used anywhere on the body where hair is removed.

How do you test your products?

The only animals we use for testing are our own bodies. Friends usually test it next. If they like it and ask for more, we keep it. That’s how all of our products have been developed.

Is this a face cream or a body cream?

We like to keep things simple even if marketing can sometimes tell us otherwise and get us to believe we need a different cream for every part of the body. This cream is made for your skin so rub it on whenever you like on your face and body, and hands and feet too, we don’t discriminate.

What ingredients do you avoid when making a moisturiser?

There's lots of things you won't find in this cream (or any of our other products) because they were all formulated for family members and close friends. This includes Paraffin and Mineral Oil which derive from petroleum, but are commonly found in commercial moisturisers like Sorbolene. We don’t think putting the stuff that goes into our cars on our skin is the healthiest thing we can do.

We also don’t use any synthetic preservatives such as Parabens and Phenoxyethanol, although they're pretty common too, including with a few brands that claim to be natural (you know who you are!). We avoid a lot of other things too, way too many to list here. We also don't use any useless, trendy ingredients like stem cells from Swiss apples or super power jellyfish DNA, just natural, effective ingredients for healthy skin.
