The original Elevit with Iodine formulation (Elevit Pronatal) was used in a large study that looked at the prevention of first occurrence of neural tube defects, and contained 800mcg of folic acid. Elevit with Iodine has maintained 800mcg of folic acid based on this study and has been updated to include the addition of iodine.
