Rossmax HA500 Non-Contact Temple Thermometer
Rossmax HA500 Non-Contact Temple Thermometer has been specially created to make temperature taking easier, for both the user and the patient. The HA500 has high accuracy and efficiency with a 1 second measurement time at a distance of 5cm. For parents or carers needing to monitor a fever without waking the patient or for those needing to test the temperature of an object before use, this thermometer can be incredibly useful. You can switch between temple and object mode, depending on what your measuring. 'Object' mode can be used to measure the temperature of water or milk, which is handy for example; when making sure babies milk is at the right temperature.
To alert the user of a fever, the thermometer has a built in fever alarm for when the patient has a very high temperature of over 37.5°C. The thermometer can save 9 readings, so it's easy to compare your temperature to see any noticeable changes. You can also switch between °C and °F, depending on your need.

Advanced Infrared Measuring System
For non-contact temperature measurement - The advanced infrared temperature measuring technology provides safe, accurate, reliable and hygienic readings for measuring both forehead and ambient temperature. The forehead temperature reading lookup table was calculated and developed based on systematic skin clinical data statistics to accommodate fever and non-fever subjects, under different operating environment. The one second measurement thermometer without contacting skin is a suitable choice for obtaining body temperature and prevents cross contamination by measuring around 5 cm from the forehead.

This Temple thermometer has been clinically tested in several big teaching hospitals based on the protocol of ASTM E1965-98:2009 regulatory standard, covering sufficient febrile and normal body temperature subjects with satisfied clinical repeatability and measuring accuracy comparing to the concurrent oral temperature measurement reading.
DIRECTION
How to measure temple temperature:
- Always make sure the probe is clean, and without damage.
- Press “ON/OFF/Memory” button to power on the device.
- Vertically aim the thermometer at the temple with a distance of less than 5 cm. If the temple is covered with hair, sweat or dirt, remove the obstacle from the temple to improve the measuring accuracy.
- Press the “Start” button to take temperature. Measurement is complete when you hear a long beep sound.
- Read the recorded temperature from the LCD display.
- Clean the probe after each use to ensure an accurate reading and avoid cross contamination. ( See the section of Care and Cleaning for details.)
- Remember to put in the storage case when not in use.
Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius:
- Make sure the device is off. (Or you can turn off the device by pressing and holding the “On/Off/ Memory” button for 3 seconds.)
- Hold onto the “Start“ button, then press and hold the “On/Off/Memory” button until °C appears on the LCD.
- Press the “On/Off/Memory” button to select the desired scale °C or °F, once you decide the scale, wait for 5 seconds and the setting will be confirmed while you will hear 2 short beep sounds.
